A family reunion for the descendents and friends of Christopher Columbus Tharp and Sallie M. Hornback is being held September
5, 2005, Monday, Labor Day at noon at the Eastern Gate Baptist church, 3699 N. Preston Highway, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.

At this time, we are planning for one meal and the cost of renting the church
fellowship hall. All other meals will be the responsibility of individuals. Some of us are coming a day or so
early to visit other sites. The following have been suggested: attending church the Sunday before at the Barren
Run Baptist church in Hodgenville, KY, visiting cemeteries, Lincoln's birthplace, and places of interest in Louisville.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Also lots and lots of visiting and having fun!

At the reunion we plan to have a table devoted to each of the eight children
of Christopher Tharp. Everyone can bring pictures, etc., and we all can look and catch up. Also bring any old
photos so we can help identify individuals. One table wil be devoted to general history of the family. Also bring
your cameras. More information will be posted on this site plus a mailing will be coming soon.
